daggers-drawn:

When you’re no longer guided by an external sense of right and wrong and begin to seize your own agency you may feel disoriented and stuck.

The cure is to interrogate your desires and then pursue them. Not unconsciously and without foresight, but unapologetically name what you want and pursue it.

Ask “why do I want this? Is it for me, or for someone else? If for someone else did they ask me to do this? Does it make me miserable? If so do I have a choice in doing it? Do they know or care that it makes me miserable?” and other kinds of questions that really interrogate where your desires come from and what they lead to.

Once you understand your desires then you can comfortably begin to move through life with a sense of self-made purpose and not just in avoidance of punishment and guilt.

You are worth living your own life for.
